Remembrance Video for Gladys E. Payne
Gladys E. Payne, 93, 30 Roche Street, Huntington, died at 1:25
p.m. Saturday (February 2, 2008) at Parkview Huntington
Hospital.
Mrs. Payne was a homemaker and a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Huntington.
Born May 6, 1914 in Wells County, she was the daughter of James and Clara (Hafley) Tucker. She married Archie Payne in Huntington, and he preceded her in death in November of 1990.
Survivors include two sons – Franklin Garrison of Lansing, Michigan and Arthur Garrison of Deltona, Florida; a stepson – Porter Payne of Huntington, Indiana; two daughters – Mrs. Walter (Constance) Sands of Huntington, Indiana, and Mrs. Kyle (Margaret) Kirkpatrick of Ft. Wayne, Indiana; 21 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and many great-great-grandchildren. A son – Laurin Garrison, four brothers – Indis Tucker, Lorin Tucker, Garland Tucker and Harold Tucker, and four sisters – Eva Thorne, Helen Barton, Grace Pressler and Lilian Tucker, and five grandchildren preceded her in death.
Visitation will be from 10 am – 12 pm on Tuesday (February 5, 2008) at the First Church of the Nazarene, 1555 Flaxmill Road. Funeral services will then be at 12 pm, Tuesday (February 5, 2008), at the First Church of the Nazarene. Rev. Kevin Dunlop and Rev. Gene Vickery will officiate. Burial will follow at the Clear Creek Cemetery, Huntington County.
