Floretta I. Coe, age 86, Roanoke, died at 11:49 p.m. Thursday (July 26, 2007) at the Lutheran Hospital in Ft. Wayne.

     Mrs. Coe retired in 1976 from Lincoln Life Insurance Company in Ft. Wayne, where she worked for over 25 years as a supervisor in the accounting department. Moving to Roanoke in 1938, she had been a beautician in Wabash and Roanoke prior to working for the Lincoln Life Insurance Company. Mrs. Coe was a 1938 graduate of Lagro High School in Largo, and was a graduate of the Wayne University Beauty School in Ft. Wayne.  She was a member of the Roanoke Christ United Methodist Church.

     Floretta was born on August 31, 1920 in Tippecanoe County, IN the daughter of Ervin M. and Elizabeth N. Stemmerding Cruea.  Floretta married Robert A. Coe on January 16, 1943 in Roanoke and he preceded her in death on October 25, 1997.

     Survivors include her sister – Dorothy (Robert) Stamper of Huntington; several nieces and nephews; and great nieces & nephews.

     Visitation will be from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Monday (July 30, 2007) at the Bailey-Love Mortuary. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday (July 31, 2007) at Bailey-Love Mortuary with Rev. Kathy Miller officiating.  Burial will be in the Glenwood Cemetery, Roanoke.
