Remembrance Video for Doris Liane Hoover

Doris Liane Hoover,
76, died at 3:30 p.m. Thursday (January 10,
2008) at Lutheran Hospital in Ft. Wayne.
Mrs. Hoover retired from Tokheim Corporation in Ft. Wayne in 1993 where she worked in the accounting department. Prior to that, she worked for Lincoln Life Insurance Company in Ft. Wayne. Doris was a member of the Pleasant Chapel United Methodist Church, Order of the Eastern Star Roanoke Chapter and the American Legion #160 Women’s Auxiliary in Roanoke. She served with the United States Air Force during the Korean War and worked at the Pentagon while in the service.
Born September 6, 1931 in Jackson Township, Huntington County, she was the daughter of Glenn and Gladys (Haines) Miller. Doris graduated from Roanoke High School in 1949. She married Morris Allen Hoover on July 24, 1955 in Roanoke and he preceded her in death on April 28, 2007.
Survivors include three sons – Vincent W. Hoover of Huntington, Ted M. (Janet) Hoover of Fort Wayne and Jeffrey L. (Carla) Hoover of Roanoke; one daughter – Nancy L. (John) Larkey of Fort Wayne, one brother – Lamar Miller of Bryan, Ohio, and 10 grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Monday (January 14, 2008) at Bailey-Love Mortuary with the Order of Eastern Star Waynedale Chapter Twilight Service following at 8 p.m. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday (January 15, 2008) at Pleasant Chapel United Methodist Church, 880 East 1100 North, Roanoke, with 1 hour of visitation prior to the service. Rev. Marvin Grooms will officiate. Burial will follow at Pleasant Chapel Cemetery, Roanoke.
