Remembrance Video for Charles H. "Chuck" Bragg
Charles H. Chuck Bragg, age 73, 345 Jackson
Street, Huntington, died at 6:25 p.m. Thursday
(January 24, 2008) at Lutheran Hospital in Fort
Wayne.
Mr. Bragg retired from W. W. Concrete Inc. in Roanoke after 47 years as a concrete mixer driver. After his retirement, he worked for Norwood Golf Course. Chuck was a member of the American Legion Post #85 and the Eagles Lodge #823, both of Huntington, and the Teamsters Union #414 of Ft. Wayne. A lifetime resident of Huntington County, he loved to play country music on his guitar.
Chuck was born on October 6, 1934 in Roanoke, the son of Charles C. and Lulu (VanMeter) Bragg. He married Vivian I. Shock on November 6, 1965 in Huntington.
Survivors include his wife of 42 years Vivian I. Bragg of Huntington; one son Charles E. Bragg of Etna Green, IN; one daughter Tina Strayer of Indianapolis, IN; one brother Irvin (Maxine) Carpenter of Auburn, IN; 5 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. A daughter Amy Whilder, brothers Garl Slagel, James Slagel and Fred Carpenter; and sisters Rosie Carpenter and Ruth Carpenter, preceded him in death.
Visitation will be 1 4 p.m. Monday (January 28, 2008) at Bailey-Love Mortuary with funeral services following at 4 p.m. Monday (January 28, 2008) at Bailey-Love Mortuary. A private family burial will be held at the Gardens of Memory, Huntington County, IN.
