Anna K. “Peg” Hoover, age 88, formerly of Huntington, died at 10:53 pm on Thursday (February 14, 2008) at the Peabody Retirement Community in North Manchester, IN.

     Mrs. Hoover was the bookstore manager, known as “Mom Hoover”, at the Huntington North High School from 1970 – 1981.  She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Huntington and the Eastern Star Huntington Chapter.

     Anna was born on April 3, 1919 in Huntington, the daughter of Ernest and Fern (Clinger) Ruef.  She graduated from Warren High School in 1937.  Anna married Max H. Hoover on November 7, 1948 in Huntington.  He preceded her in death in July 29, 1999.

     Survivors include one son – Mike Hoover of Huntington; one daughter – Mrs. Jeff (Sally) Anderson of Huntington; one brother – Jerry Ruef of Huntington; 4 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

     Visitation will be 3 – 7 p.m. Monday (February 18, 2008) at Bailey-Love Mortuary.  Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday (February 19, 2008) at the Bailey-Love Mortuary with Dr. Sam Young officiating.  Burial will be in the Gardens of Memory, Huntington.
